another Otter story!

this ones all about Otter waiting for santa (despite the fact otter keeper has explained to her that he won't be here for weeks get!!)

otter has still decided it would be a good idea for her and teddy to camp out and wait so they get to meet him

This piece presents itself as a children's book illustration. (which is the intent, no doubt) I state the obvious, as it guides my critique. The overall composition is balanced, the center of the symmetry being the larger of the two stockings, each side supported by the other, very well. The use of muted colors allows the viewer time to take in each detail, and there are many! It is the details that compel the viewer, they are playful AND endearing, items that help us to understand who Otter is, they give the character personality and more importantly Life. Your illustration defines the idea, every picture tells a story. Bellissimo!

I would have loved this as a kid! I mean I do now, but this definitely feels like something a little kid would LOVE!
I did not have tv growing up and I would read picture books... very wonderful, this takes me back. THANK YOU!
